The children are settling in to the daily routine. There are many days that we have 100% homework turned in! Keep up the great effort!

Math:
Unit 2
Unit 2 has four main areas of focus:
* To review fact families and number families
*To review and solve "What's My Rule?" problems
*To use diagrams to help solve number stories, and
*To review algorithms for adding and subtracting.
SCIENCE:
Unit 2: Simple Machines (TEST: OCTOBER 23RD)
Skills: This is unit E in the science book. Study the review sheet, mini poster (on the back of the review sheet), and the science book. ***SEE STUDY GUIDE FOR MORE DETAILS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Please help your child make flash cards and/or matching cards. Play a few minutes each night. Explore the internet with the vocabulary)
SOCIAL STUDIES:.
I will spend 2 weeks on America's Government: I will discuss the voting process and the students will have a mock election. More details will follow. (Later on in the year I will do a more indepth study of America's Government).
We will not have a Unit Test until later. We will have a quiz and some classwork grades.
